Dog Days of Summer: A Great Time to Work

photo: Robin Murray

August. Hot. Steamy. August. This is the time of year that most businesses come to a screaching halt. Employees are off on vacation, and everyone is enjoying a little time off.

We at RM have had quite a busy summer and have prepared for a busier fall. If you happen to be in the office these last few weeks of August, it is a GREAT time to get work done that you have put off. With September being Life Insurance Awareness Month, this is a great time to plan your campaign.

Also, this month, we say goodbye to Tim Hill, our marketing director. Tim is leaving New York City (but not RM). Tim will be working from Ann Arbor, MI, where he will be pursuing his Doctorate in Musical Arts. Leave it to Tim to mix business and pleasure...or simply mix businesses.

Keeping with our tradition of hiring opera singers, we welcome Stephanie Joiner, marketing specialist, to our team. Like Tim, Stephanie is a singer and jill-of-all-trades.

Drop us a line to welcome Stephanie.

Stephanie's Fiscal/Physical Tip

photo: Stephanie Joiner

Physical fitness is similar to fiscal fitness in that the small things can really add up. As summer comes to a close, don't let these lazy, humid days keep you still. The smallest steps like taking the stairs, stretching every few hours at the office or walking rather than taking a cab will keep you moving and working. On the fiscal side, take small steps now to begin planning for the next fiscal year. And while you're at it, start planning those marketing campaigns now so you'll be moving continually forward and staying fiscally fit!
