Happy Passover and Easter

Happy Passover and Easter. I love this time of year, because warm weather is just around the corner. It also means it is time to do that big marketing push before the summer slowdown begins. We at RM will be in full force this summer. The calendar is busy and we even have hired a new marketing graduate, Lauren Gordon, who will be starting with us in June. Rest assured, she will be put through her paces in our Marketing Boot Camp. Welcome aboard, Lauren!

Social media continues to dominate our lives. RM is leading the eNews charge on several fronts – large corporations, medium-size financial advisory firms, and private medical practices. We are adept at the fast turn-around, and the tight, concise style of writing these pieces require. Once again, I like the old school approach wrapped in the shiny new package that makes this medium so successful.

I would like to remind you of a great opportunity for education: Life Insurance Awareness Month, September 2010. An educational piece on the need for life insurance as basic protection, or how under-insured Americans are, can be great ways to start a dialogue with potential clients.

In keeping with our introductions, in this newsletter, I would like to introduce you to Andrew Boardman, one of RM’s graphic designers. Many of you know Andrew’s work already, as he designed our site. We at RM believe he has a great eye.

Best,
Robin Murray

Andrew runs and manages MANOVERBOARD, a boutique design firm. He brings to RM Strategic Marketing the ability to make complex design projects both intuitive and compelling.

Andrew designed his first website in 1995, and as an early blogger, he created his first blog in 2000. He also worked on Tiffany & Co.'s first e-commerce site. In 2003, he designed the first e-commerce site for Barneys New York. His hands-on approach and personal attention to detail help to make his work distinctive and highly effective.

He also has done work for Generation Investment Management, Intuit, Johnson & Johnson, Acumen Fund, Oak Hill Advisors, Council of Canadians with Disabilities, Primedia, Columbia Business School, United Nations University, and MIT. Before forming MANOVERBOARD, Andrew worked as Director of Research at OVEN Digital, an international Web design company based in New York City. There, he worked on websites for IBM, The City of New York, and Cadwalader (the oldest law firm in the U.S.). He also worked at The Rockefeller Foundation directing Web development and research for a leadership training fellowship.

Andrew received a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Honors Art and Honors English from Brown University. He was elected Phi Beta Kappa at Brown and went on to receive his M.F.A. from the University at Albany. Andrew is the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship for the study of visual culture in Poland and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship for painting.
